When installing a circular knitting machine, how should the yarn guide be adjusted?

Yarn guide, also known as yarn feeder and steel shuttle. Whether its installation position is correct or not directly affects the normal weaving of the fabric, so the installation requirements of the yarn guide are relatively high.

circular knitting machine

       As shown in Figure 1, the function of the yarn guide is to deliver the yarn to the knitting needles, prevent the opened latch from being kicked back and close automatically, and arrange the incompletely opened latch to the fully open state, so that the needle latch starts from the open position. From a to position b before the yarn laying is completed and starts to close, they are all in a fully open state.

For double-sided circular knitting machines, if the dial is raised and lowered, the yarn guide must be fully inspected and adjusted, otherwise there will be defects such as missing stitches, flowery stitches, and holes. Specific requirements:

       1. The back of the yarn guide is 0.5mm away from the needle hook of the lower needle;

       2. The bottom of the yarn guide is 0.5mm away from the dial needle hook, as shown in Figure 1c;

       3. The distance e from the right side of the yarn guide to the knitting needle starting to close the latch is 2 times the stitch length;

       Avoid padding the yarn against the scissors when the latch is closed. Figures 1a and 1b respectively show the installation position of the yarn guide for synchronous knitting and asynchronous knitting and the relative position to the needle trajectory of the upper and lower knitting needles.
